Amber Brown

Amber Lynn Brown was born in Port Lavaca, TX, and attended cosmetology school at Calhoun High School. There she was instructed by her mother, a cosmetologist of 30 years, a salon owner of 15 years, and a cosmetology instructor of 8 years. Amber has been a licensed cosmetologist for 10 years, and opened Salon Volt in January of 2013. Amber moved to San Antonio in 2009 to further pursue her career in cosmetology.'I wanted to service a clientele that views their appearance and hair as an art; just as I do. Being a successful hair stylist is about listening, honesty, integrity, and being efficient. It's also about building real relationships with your clients and letting them know that you really care.' Her work consists of thorough consultations, and an in-depth look into the history of the hair. Her signature way of doing hair combines structure, science, and personality. Amber specializes in customized precision cuts, one of a kind color and design by foiling. She also has been trained in the balayage, ombre, and ecaille techniques. Amber is always continuing her education, and learning and growing as a stylist. She has received certifications from industry icons such as Tracey Cunningham, Guy Tang, Heather Chapman, Rebecca Taylor, Kim Vo, Beth Minardi, Brazilian Blowout, Paul Mitchell, and many more. Amber strives to enrich the health, appearance, and emotional well-being of each and every client, every day, every appointment.
